In Water, Disabled
Youngsters Are Like
Everyone Else

A group of local divers introduce five disabled kids to the thrill of scuba -- bringing joy to both teachers and students

Equalize Scuba

We have just initiated an IAHD specialist program in Mermaids Dive Center in Jomtien, Thailand, with the aim of getting as many people in the water as possible. Thailand is becoming vastly more disabled accessible and offers some of the best diving in the world. I myself am a diving instructor despite being a T10 paraplegic and am trying to convey the message to many more people that in this sport the water is a great leveller and many people can do it. Hopefully this will interest many people and we can start giving more people the opportunity to enjoy such a fantastic sport.
